Skykon’s long-term aim is to ensure that we become the preferred supplier within our chosen component area for at least three of the five largest global wind turbine manufacturers.
Or, more accurately, the preferred partner.
The very core of our business philosophy has to do with developing from the position where we simply receive orders and deliver goods, to being an integrated part of the solution. A strategic partner, in other words. A proactive colleague with the capacity to inject know-how, innovation, logistics, cost reductions and – above all – improved quality into the customer’s supply chain, and into the finished wind turbine.
The key concepts here are excellence, partnership and focus on turn-key-solutions rather than stand-alone products.
And it is here in particular that the synergies between Skykon's different locations and the central pallet of specialist competences make a real difference. We profit from our systematised knowledge sharing and draw on some of the most highly skilled people in the industry in areas such as quality and supply chain management.
Our ultimate aim with this approach to the market is to make a significant contribution to the wind turbine industry developing to an even greater extent from “building a wind turbine” to “manufacturing wind turbines”. The difference is very clear – especially on the bottom line.
