| 1955 | Welcon A/S (now Skykon Give A/S) is founded in Denmark under the name 'Brande Kedel og Beholderfabrik' producing boilers and other steel components. The company later on changed the name to Nordex. |
| 1979 | Marxen A/S (now Skykon Nr Aaby A/S) is established in Denmark in 1979 offering the repair and painting of pleasure boats. |
| 1983 | WKT Nordic ApS (now Skykon Nr Aaby A/S) is established in Denmark for the sales of products for the painting and maintenance of pleasure boats. |
| 1999 | Part of Nordex is sold off. The rights to produce towers are maintained in a separate company Nordex Energi A/S (which is subsequently renamed into Welcon A/S). |
| 2002 | Dencam A/S (now Skykon Faaborg A/S) is established in Denmark under the name Explorer Invest A/S. |
| 2007 | The capital company EVO is founded (forming the foundation of the company we know today as Skykon A/S). Dencam A/S is acquired by EVO. |
| 2008 | Marxen & WKT Nordic are acquired and renamed into Skykon Nr. Aaby A/S. Welcon A/S is acquired and renamed into Skykon Give A/S. Skykon A/S is founded. |
| 2009 | Skykon Campbeltown Ltd. in Scotland (previously Vestas Towers Celtic) is acquired. Introduction of “One Company”. Skykon Wind Technology (Xuzhou) Co. Ltd. in China is founded. |
| 2010 | Skykon Offshore A/S is founded in Denmark at Odense Steel Shipyard (Lindoe). Skykon Wind LLC in the US is founded. |
